Hydrogeological investigations and geophysical surveys

The first step of a successful drilling program is a proper hydrogeological and geophysical survey to determine the optimum drilling site. The data will be analysed using professional software. For rural water supplies (hand pump boreholes) 2 perpendicular resistivity profiles are run in a village and on anomalies a VES is carried out. Such a survey will take a day. If a Client would like to have production wells then he is advised to carry out a more detailed investigation for which detailed aerial photographs are ordered and analysed using a stereoscope and in which more detailed investigations are carried out.
